Siobhan Soraghan BSc MBA MCIPD MCMI MPracNLP, Founder and MD of Active Insight has been developing senior executives, high-potential individuals and top teams since 1991. She coaches corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, top echelon public servants, community leaders, and senior military personnel. Her coachees currently include chief Executives, a range of directors, a permanent secretary, an Anglican bishop, a range of military leaders, and senior civil servants either at, or aspiring to, DG level. Over the years she has supported a wide range of organisations to align their business and people strategies, and designed and delivered impactful senior leadership development programmes. In addition to executive coaching and leadership development, she coaches top teams to improve their collective decision-making capability and develop their corporate leadership skills.
Siobhan offers a rare combination of ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ capabilities: a sharp intellectual grasp of strategic thinking tools and processes, alongside an incisive perception of inter/intra-personal dynamics and emotional intelligence. Added to which, her experience across a broad range of organisations equips her to quickly appreciate the contexts within which her clients operate.
She began her career with BP, and was soon promoted from R&D (patent granted) into business development. She worked in high-risk oilfield environments, and gained valuable experience in business rebranding and in organisational growth through acquisition.
Siobhan has an MBA from Cranfield, one of Europe’s top business schools. She focused on strategy, change management and people development, gaining a distinction in managing strategic change. She also is an NLP master practitioner, is licensed to administer Myers Briggs, and is trained in non-violent communication, along with many other valuable transformational tools.
Siobhan’s experience includes having been a trustee of the Chartered Management Institute, where as a board member, she supported the formulation of strategy and made a significant contribution to the development of the Institute’s governance practices. She has delivered career coaching and career development workshops for Cranfield’s MBAs over many years, and has coached long term for the National School of Government’s flagship Top Management Programme and on senior military leadership programmes at the Shrivenham Defence Academy. She was also a member of the OU Business School team that devised their Managing Knowledge programme.
Siobhan is a member of The Institute of Directors, Chartered Management Institute, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Association of MBAs, Association for Coaches, Association of Career Professionals and British Association for Psychological Type.
