Now, are you more concerned about the results of your actions, or how you will be seen as the result of your actions?

If your intended action is going to the supermarket, you are probably just concerned about the results. You are just being your authentic you, with little care about what others may think.

What if your intended action is to deliver a presentation to peers and colleagues? How is that different? Will you still be your authentic ‘supermarket’ you?

How do we act given what we imagine about ourselves and how others see us? Authentically?

Do we genuinely live up to what we want our reputation to be?

Or do we fake it hoping others won’t notice the gaps in our ‘performance’?
