Networking is a skill that can be learned. Like everything, the people who are good at it have practised.

President Kennedy apparently hated networking. He used to say to himself, while shaking someone’s hand – “I’m glad you’re here” and “I’m glad to be here with you”.
It certainly seemed to work for him!
