I was speaking with Elizabeth Eyre, the editor of Training Journal (UK) about some ideas I had been musing over concerning how leadership and learning are interlinked. She got quite excited and asked me to write an article for the magazine.

So I thought some more and added to the concepts. I am not sure they are entirely new but Elizabeth seemed to think the way I was stitching the ideas together, especially weaving in the role that engagement plays, was interesting and useful.

As they say, the rest is history. I sent the article in and she even put it on the front cover of July 2012 issue. I was quite chuffed.

It bodes well for my forthcoming book on Informal Learning. Watch this space 🙂
