So you want some people to change the way they do things?

The biggest barrier to that change is their environment. It is like quicksand that inexorably draws people back down to their old way of being and stifles the change.

Escaping quicksand is not easy, but it is possible. Here is how Bear Grylls does it.

But it is much easier if you change the environment around the people so it does not behave like quicksand.

How can you change the process, the systems, the responsibilities, the tasks, the schedule or anything else so that it becomes easier to do the change than not do it? So that people can walk around the quicksand rather than try and walk through it?

And if you are part of that environment (hint: you probably are), how do YOU need to change so you are not the quicksand?
