I look at my to-do list and all the things I have said ‘yes’ to. Hmmm…
It took me a while to realise that when I say ‘yes’ to something I don’t have time for, I am actually saying ‘no’ to something else that I really do need to do.
Therefore, I will always be saying ‘no’ to some things. It is inevitable.
The trick is being more selective on what I say ‘no’ to based on the consequences, both short and longer term.
