Employees are increasingly voicing their opinions on what they see as actions taken by colleagues or management that they consider unjust or immoral. I am sure you can think of examples.

Consider this quote by Plato…

“Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.”

“I didn’t think that would be a problem…”. How often have you heard that?

The key part is “I didn’t think”.

You need to be aware that others around you, both colleagues and management may well have a different view on something like a gift from a supplier.

Each person has their own moral compass, and they will probably point in much the same general direction, but there will be differences. You need to think through the consequences of those differences.
