Without an observer, it does not really exist.
Think about it; how can you ever not be you?
How can you ever not be real or true to who you are in the moment?
We are who we are in the moment with our thinking, our mood, our intentions, and then we behave as we do. Within ourselves, we are always authentic.
But if what we do seems out of character, or inconsistent, or not how others think we should behave, we are labelled as inauthentic.
Would this label bother you?
If so, you need to identify the gap between what people expect or want from you and how you behave, and close the gap from one or both directions.
To do this you need to understand your personal brand. One definition of personal brand is ‘The promise I make to the world about who I am and what I do’.
If you break this promise, you will be labelled as inauthentic.
