FAQ

Also see the links on the left where the main Alchemy features are explained.

Q. Who are the authors?

A: They are all expert practitioners in their subject. Working consultants rather than academics, many with high-level management experience; they spend their working lives helping individuals and organisations benefit from their knowledge and experience.

They have been selected for their in-depth knowledge of their subjects, their understanding of the needs of today’s manager and their ability to communicate what they know most effectively and usefully.

Q. Can we add some of our own information and topics?

A. Yes. Alchemy for Managers has been designed from the ground up to enable each customer to have their own bespoke version. You can include as much of your own content as you wish. This will be fully searchable and also updateable, just the same as the standard content.

Q. Is the content specific to the UK?

A. Most of the content is applicable to management anywhere in the world; however the content has been written with the UK business climate and culture in mind. Where there is mention of laws or regulations, these apply to the UK. We will in time produce versions specific to other locales.

Q. What other languages is it available in?

A. Currently Alchemy is available in UK English. Translation into other languages is planned. Any enquiries are welcome.

Q. Is there a mobile version for smart phones and tablets?

A. Yes. Any capable smart phone will run the mobile optimised version of Alchemy. This includes all iPhones, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Windows Mobile phones and the larger screen BlackBerry phones.

Q. Can I choose my own username and password?

A. Yes.

Q. Are there any special requirements to access the online version of Alchemy?

A. Some very old browsers may not display the content correctly so it is best to use IE6 or later, Firefox 1.5 or later and so on. There is no requirement for Flash or any other plugins.

Q. How do I sign up for the weekly management tips?

A. Go to the blog page of the People Alchemy website at http://www.peoplealchemy.co.uk/blog/ and click on one of the two subscribe options at the bottom of the list on the left. You can opt to receive them via RSS feed or as a weekly email.
